I realized it's been quite some time since I last wrote; April was a very busy month for me! It has been quite the eventful semester end this year! Half way done with my undergrad, baby, HELL YEAH! Not only did I only have 2 finals (and 6 total papers), but I was finished on the last day of classes this year... no finals on Finals Week for me!
I ran in the Salt Lake Half-Marathon on the 18th and did AWESOME. For my first half-marathon, I got a time of 2:49:55 and ran ALL BUT 1 mile!! Go me! I was so proud, prouder than words can say. It was one of my best accomplishments EVER and I simply can't wait to run more half-marathons. I also was hardly sore the next few days and was just feeling great. Aah.. it was just so exhilerating... Although, on an interesting note, the only thing I couldn't help thinking as I was completing the last stretch was how much I wish someone was there for me at the end to see me finish.. anyone I knew, but especially my parents. And then was when I heard it, Cameron on the sidelines yelling my name, snapping some pics, and cheering me to the end! He was a gift from God, and that was one of the best moments of the whole race to see him standing on the side! It was a wonderful day! :)
Unfortunately a few days later I was running around campus at night when I felt this excruciating pain in my left knee... so I walked (hobbled haha) home and went to bed hoping the next day would be better. It wasn't. Nothing would really help it, and I tried everything. It got a little better the first few days but after that the pain seemed to just plateau. After a trip to the doctor, I learned that I have bursitis, tendenitis, and a knee cap tracking dysfunction that needs PT. Great. I've never done any PT before, but I start that this week and I dunno why but I really am so mad at myself for going out running that night. The weather has been wonderful and after seeing myself at the most fit I ever was 4 years ago, I am going to get in shape and lose some weight this summer, but because I made the stupid decision to go running that night I can hardly power walk for more than about a mile on a flat surface. F*CK. I'm really hoping my knee gets better asap cause though I'm trying not to baby it and keep moving, I still can't do much and that just kills me.
I decided I'm not going home for the summer and couldn't be more psyched about staying here!!! I love it here and it's going to be a great summer. I have to finalize my summer goal list, but I want to shape up, get more reading done, and better manange my monies... there will be more and they will be more detailed, but that's the jist for now. I started reading the book The Shack that is just FANTASTIC so far! I seriously can't put it down, I started it yesterday and am already more than halfway done with it... It's amazing. Though I already have gotten a few suggestions over the past month, I got another suggestion today from Drew at work for a book called The Well and The Mine that sounds awesome! And I'm always open to new suggestions!
Alright, well I think that's enough for now... I'm without my laptop for the time being because it has been needed to be repaired for about a year now, but I didn't have at least 2 weeks worth of time to give it up with school work and such. So it's finally getting fixed! But that means less computer for me, which is wonderful cause I use it too much for facebooking and such. Until later!
And in honor of Cinco de Mayo (which most Americans don't know that it IS NOT Mexico's Independence Day.. ignorant fools), hasta la vista, baby! ;)

I recommend The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde.
It's ... um... interesting (plot-wise). Great story, but kinda weird. Virtual England, you can literally get lost in a book and all that.
Plus, a character named Jack Schitt!
(Oh, and unfortunate about your leg. Hopefully it gets better soon.)
