Twenty-Ten

Wow... so 3 months later, here I am! Last night I had a great time with my buddies and was encouraged to post again, which is actually a good idea. At this point in life, I honestly cannot complain! I got nothin'. haha School starts again tomorrow and I can't f*ckin' wait. The nerd in me has been ready for the past 2 weeks already, so I'm pretty psyched. :)

On weight loss, I made the goal of 6 lbs/mo so by my birthday I should be about 10 pounds away from my goal! I just gotta keep up the good work, drinks lots of water, get into a good workout routine, and not fall to all the MANY saboteurs out there. I can do it!

Mentally, I've been doing so good the past few months, since D moved in. Thank God for her! We were talking about it last night actually, and since she's moved in, I had one momentary lingering thought of poor judgment... But other than that, the past semester couldn't have been better! Laters

Fall Break - take 3.

It's the end of my third Fall Break and I can't believe how fast time is flying! I was fortunate enough to get to go home for a little bit, but in two days I had a dentist appt, eye doctor appt (that resulted in my first pair of glasses... yippee!), and a physical AS WELL AS having to take Lex in for a tire rotation, brake alignment and check, brake replacement, oil and lube change, AND inspection. It was a crazy two days, but I think I can safely say that I am shiny and new again.

The weather here has been phenomenally gorgeous. I just love this crisp fall weather that hasn't *yet* included snow! The past few days I've been doing some powerwalking/jogging around the Aves and holy crap have I been sore! All those hills are such a good workout.

Oh! So I have figured out what I'm going to be for Halloween this year.... and it's brilliant. But no one (with the exception of my fam who helped think it up, and you priviledged ONE confidant...) is going to know until it's revealed at the work party on Friday, Oct 31. It's gonna be good. :)

Fresh new season. Fresh new respect.

A new football season, a new group of buddies, a new romantic interest, more fun than the year before, same ol' f*cking drinking standards. Gosh, the whole college binge drinking scene plus pressure to drink plus disrespect/intolerance really gets to me... Now, don't get me wrong, I don't want to come off as a prude and say "zero drinking, zero fun." No. These are the college years! Just do it responsibly! This idea that we need to "pre-game" or get smashed in order to have fun is bull. And drinking games are way fun! But if I want to be included and not drink, that should be cool. Respect your buddies and other people's decisions to not drink. Be tolerant of those who both are drinking and those who aren't. And no, "free beer" is not a legit reason for why I *have* to drink your beer.

On the flip side, damn I'm growing up. Each year my new group of friends is more and more mature, more responsible, more understanding, makes me feel so much more comfortable, and in return, makes the new football season the best yet! So thank you guys. On that note, Go Utes! And more importantly... GO COLTS!

This post tonight is for J - a dear and beloved friend whom I look up to and thank God everyday for - who's time in SLC has come to an end. He requested that I write about our lovely dinner at Squatters tonight!! All I can say is: cheap, delicious food, fantastic friends, booze, "that's what she said," and lots and lots of laughter. Quote of the night had to be "THAT'S NOT CREAM SODA..!!" haha Oh man, how I'm going to miss that guy... ah here come the tears again. So many good times and many more to come. God Bless you J, and best of luck.

I just watched a customer prepare and roll his chew at my checkstand, spilling all over. Really? You couldn't wait like 10 seconds til you were outside? Douchebag.

Saturday

Oh my gosh, okay so today was an utterly fantastic day. Fan-f*ckin-tastic, to be exact!! Gotta love getting up early to shower but not worry about hair or makeup, coffee with the girlfriends, meeting our guy buddies in Bountiful to cheer them on and support them at their morning softball game, a 4-car caravan ride up to Kaysville to this cute family diner where the special was a "Crape Breakfast" and as we were leaving, C managed to erase the 'e' on "crape" (which was AWESOME!), free slurpees at 7/11 on 7/11 day, and back to the great SLC where I did lots of cleaning, took a kick ass nap, and went off to work to make some mulah. If that's not the definition of fan-f*ckin-tastic, then I dunno what is... :)

PS. I don't know what I'd do without C, E, & J. My friendship with them means the WORLD and the times we've had together are priceless. I love you guys!

Haha That part of the movie ALWAYS - without a doubt - makes me bust out laughing! So I juse made some mac and cheese for dinner and borrowed some milk from my roommate that she thought smelled iffy and I thought smelled fine... welllllllll I'm starting to think maybe she was right. :/ I guess time will tell, and trust me, I'm PRAYING either the milk was fine or I have an iron lined stomach...

Before I TGIF-it and say "later," I just had to say that I have had such a fantastic day today! Simply fantastic :)

Geez I'm frustrated... Some where, some how I desperately need to figure out how to EMBRACE motivation. What's stopping me?

Junk food.

Junk food. That's about all I have to say. That is ALL I have been craving the past 2 days... WTF. All I know is that it's making me incredibly annoyed and tired and gross. F*ck junk food.

Wow it seriously has been way too long since my last post... But since I've been working ~40-50 hours a week this summer, I haven't exactly found time for much else besides work! It's a little unfortunate, but don't feel bad for me. If I didn't work this much during the summer I wouldn't be able to afford to live in the great SLC. And plus, I enjoy both my jobs! I do wish I got so spend time with some of my good friends who I haven't seen in a long while as well as spend some more time with the family, but oh well.

Today was a fantastically productive, interesting, kick-ass day!! Not only did I make the most delicious antipasto pasta salad for the first time ever, but I went on a major, long over-due cleaning spree, watched some FRIENDS, went to work, got to spend the whole evening with my besties, and the rest of the night relaxing with my roomies. It was a great day! But I think I'm finally off to bed now... I'm working back to back tomorrow and will be spending time with the buddies after work, as planned every Friday night.

Oh, and for the record, I totally won Mr. Lincoln from B today, due to the death of MJ... may he RIP. "Because Michael Jackson was made of 99% plastic, it was decided that he would be melted into Legos after his death so children would have the chance to play with him for a change." haha :) TGIF.
